“Amazing tour” Reviewed March 6, 2012 Amazing, amazing trip and day spent with Dave and our Khmer guide Kean. Dave gave me some great tips on how to create better pictures and it was well worth the early morning wake up call to see the Sunrise over Angkor, which is simply breathtaking. He also took us to great locations throughout the day, ensuring to beat the crowds and the tour buses and ensuring that the temples were caught in the best light. A highlight of the tour was definitely when they took us down the secret route to Preah Khan and seeing the temples hidden in the natural forest....trully stunning. Would definitely recommend this tour especially if you are keen on taking great pictures of your trip to Angkor.

“Perfect for Photography” Reviewed August 16, 2012 Istumbled across Peace of Angkor whilst searching for guidance in organizing a photographic effort and I was immediately attracted because of the option of having Dave Perkes, a pro photographer, as my guide to the temples of Angkor Wat. I can say from much experience with other pro-operated photo workshops that Dave's operation was extraordinarily price-competitive and professionally equal or superior to any of the other experiences I've had. He took great care to assure that I got the best photo opportunities available for four days of dawn-to-dusk work.
Of interest was that while I was planning my trip dedicated to photo work, other members of my family kept opting in to this Siem Reap trip, requiring separate itineraries and cost projections which were handled rapidly and adroitly by Den, Peace of Angkor's ever-flexible office manager. Further, Dave & Co. put together for me an extension trip to Myanmar, that went off with characteristic slip-free execution.

EXCELLENT - A MUST IN SIEM REAP” Reviewed May 13, 2012 We had Alan as our photographer guide and Sorn as our Cambodian guide. They (along with the driver) really made our trip in Siem reap. Alan is a really easy going, friendly guy who has ingratiated himself in the the Cambodian culture. We learnt so much of the culture and people from Alan and Sorn. We also took some really good photos and learnt a lot about our cameras and how to shoot great photos. This trip really enriched our experience. Den was a pleasure to deal with on emails leading up to our trip. Anyone who is in two minds as to whether to do this, i say DO IT! You will not regret it.

“Peace of Angkor Special Tour of Vietnam” Reviewed April 12, 2012 When you find tour owners who are willing go outside the normal tourist route, you have found a gem of an operation. Warren and Dave routed us from Hanoi to a colorful market of ethnic groups in the area of Can Cau. The Flower Hmong , Black Zao and Phu La all gathered on Saturday for a day of selling, trading, meeting friends and relatives. Their clothing was a photographer's dream. We visited their "Food Court" where many dishes were cooking of foods that should not be missed. Don't miss the village's of Bac Ha and Bac Pho for more friendly people and a huge Sunday market. Suprising , the wonderful people let you photograph them and especially their children.

“Great experience with Peace of Angkor!!!” Reviewed November 7, 2012 I spent one weekend with Dave Perkes on a photography tour learning how to do better pictures. It was really fast organized the week before thanks to Dave and Den. I told them what I had already seen and done and what I was expecting from the weekend and they came up with a great program adapted to what I wanted to do. The organization was just perfect during the whole weekend. Pick-up was on time and we relaxed during the hot hours of the day. On Saturday we discover the temples – Angkor Thom and Preah Khan. First Dave showed me what I could do with my camera without having to buy the most sophisticated one. It was really adapted to my level and from the first hour I could already see I was improving just by using the most adapted functions of my camera. Then Dave gave me some insights on how to make compositions…. It is really great to learn this from a professional but with easy vocabulary. It was never too technical even if I was a beginner. What is also nice with Peace of Angkor is that Dave brings you to places where people don’t usually go. He knows the places to go to have best light and also at the same time to avoid the crowd. In a weekend you get the chance to photography both sunrise and sunset. After photographing the temples during one and a half day, I felt like doing something else. I wanted also to learn how to do better portraits. No problem – Dave and Den are very flexible. They offer alternatives so that I could experience life in villages… we went around pagodas and in a small village not too far from Siem Reap but very authentic. There I got the chance to experience buffalo riding. I will definitely remember it. We also could experience the life in the village and a great sunset. I had great weekends here in Siem Reap but that particular weekend was definitely special. I know it will make a big difference for the pictures I will take in the future and I really enjoyed it. If a get the opportunity, I would definitely book another tour. I already recommended to my friends. So definitely recommended!!
